SCREENSHOTS EYE ADAPTATION MODELING DARK ADAPTATION A sequence showing the dark adaptation on the eyes as you walk from a well lit room into the pre dawn world outside. |
At first your eyes are so accustomed to the light that you are only able to distinguish the moon, and the brightest stars. |
After about a minute, some of the other stars become visible. If you look closely you can also start to distinguish the horizon. |
Another few minutes, and all the stars are visible, and the pre dawn horizon, clearly distinguishable. |
After about 15 minutes, this is what you are able to see.
