Next to writing, drawing is my other longterm love and creative
outlet. After neglecting it in recent years, I've tried to get back
into a routine again...

Girlz 'N' Games |

In 2004, I started up a new gaming themed comic strip.
There are plenty of related strips online, including
Penny
Arcade, PVP, Ctrl-Alt-Delete,
VG
Cats and South Africa's own The
Mousetrap.
Girlz 'N' Games is
slightly different in that it deals specifically with questions of
gender within an industry that has long been associated (even if
inaccurately) with sexist stereotypes and misconceptions. My goal is
to produce at least 1 strip a month.

Stinky McTee & Redman |

While I was completing my undergraduate degree (2001-2003) I started drawing again -
illustrating a monthly comic strip for our university student
newspaper, NUX. Stinky McTee and Redman, chronicling the
adventures of superheroic South African pets, was intended to be a
kind of social commentary embedded in a proper narrative.
Ultimately, I think it was misunderstood by a lot of people.
