Jacky is a founder member as well as a Senior Judge of the German Shepherd Dog Federation of Southern Africa. She has also been a member of the German SV for 20 years.  Jacky is one of the few breeders in South Africa who have been awarded the coveted Breeders' Gold Medal award.

Aeroken places great importance on the development of stable and sound working temperaments.  In particular *Nebos vom Bergischen Tal helped to maintain and foster this philosophy. This attitude is what caused  Jacky to become such an avid supporter of the German Shepherd Dog Federation of Southern Africa from its inception.

In 1983 Jacky imported *Nebos vom Bergischen Tal, V, SchH3. IPO1.  His impact on the working temperaments of South African dogs was tremendously positive.  A vast number of his progeny attained working qualifications and also achieved excellent placings in the show ring. His working qualification of IPO1 was actually attained by Jacky herself.  A number of other excellent males have been imported since Nebos.

To date, Jacky is the only South African to have owned a German VA dog.  *Cito vom Bergmannshof was purchased early in 1981. Later that year he was graded VA 6 at the German Sieger Show and in 1982 he was graded VA 5 .   His daughter, Aerokens Dixie, V, SchH1, legendary in the South African show ring, was also the first South African bred dog to be entered in the German Sieger Show. In 1983 she achieved the position of SG9 in a very strong 18 - 24 month class.

Aeroken prides itself in that the majority of the bitches are breed surveyed and have attained a "V" show grading. In 1991 Rona of Aeroken, bred and owned by Aeroken, was awarded VA(SA) 7.
