As a Genealogist and custodian of your family name, how will you and your family be commemorating the turn of the millennium?

Will you be joining hundreds of other families in celebrating the turn of the millennium by sending messages, many years in to the future?

Imagine if you could now be opening a Time Capsule that was sealed by an ancestor a 100 or even 1000 years ago!

This is now your opportunity to put your family name into history!

What is a Time Capsule?: n. a Container holding articles, documents, etc. representative of the current age, buried for discovery in the future.

Who use Time Capsules?: Individuals, Families, Genealogists, Companies, Institutions, Schools, Colleges, Churches, Scout troops, Town Councils, Universities, Fraternities, Military units, Governments, Fundraisers, etc.

What do you put into a Time Capsule: News Papers, Letters, Photographs, Pictures, Family History, Family Trees, Recorded messages, or any object that may be significant to you, or of the time period ... Put your imagination into it!

Popular with Family groups are to purchase one capsule per group and then sell space (say one A4 page) in the capsule to individual family members as a form of fundraiser.

The OT Time Capsule can take approximately 50 x A4 pages, more if produced in a form of a scroll. The Family members are then instructed to write, a time related essay, their future dreams, or predictions of the future on the A4 page. The Time Capsule is then sealed and kept in a safe place until a future reunion when it will be opened and the pages given back to the respective authors or published in the family magazine.

What can you do with it?: Make it an heirloom, Bury it, Build it into a wall or foundation, Keep it in a display cabinet, ... Put it in your imagination!

A special leak proof, corrosion resistant and durable anodised aluminium canister was specially designed for the OT75 Time Capsule.

Inside dimensions: 300mm x 75mm diameter.
